Both 8K and 5K courses are out and back along Water Street. The 8K and 5K Run are chip-timed. The 5K Walk is not chip-timed.

​While both events are open to having your dogs participate with you, the 8K is a running event while the 5K is for runners and walkers. You do NOT have to have a canine companion to participate. Attending and participating dogs MUST be leashed at all times and must be up to date on their vaccinations.

REGISTRATION 

Registration is per person, with or without a dog:

Through May 17: $40 (8k/5k Run) or $35 (5k Walk)
Race Day: $45 (8k/5k Run) or $40 (5k Walk)

In 2018,  $10 per participant is donated to People and Pets Together.  Participants receive a Fast and the Furry race shirt, dog bandana and goodie bag*.  Earth Rated pet waste dispenser​s will be given to the first 300 participants to pick up their race packet.

PARKING INFO:
Primary parking will be in the main lot near the Padelford building.  That lot will have limited space for runners.  Additional parking will be available along Water Street and a designated overflow lot along Plato Blvd.

Top 3 Canine Finishers in the Small, Medium and Large category - will include a prize pack from NutriSource! 

​*Dogs must be running (not carried or carted) in order to win an award.  All paws must be on the ground for the length of the race course.   Remember this is a FUN event and we will disqualify any runner that is seen aggressively pushing/pulling their dog to run faster than they are willing/able.
